McAllen – Hit-and-run Collision on Bicentennial Boulevard

A man lost his life after getting hit by a vehicle on Bicentennial Boulevard, early Saturday morning, a local news source reported.
At about 1:57 a.m., McAllen responding officers responded to a collision on Bicentennial Boulevard. A pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck by an unidentified car. The impact of the collision killed the victim instantly. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews.
No identification has been released until the victim’s immediate family is notified.
Meanwhile, the driver of the hitting vehicle fled the scene without providing help to the victim. He was located and arrested later that day.
The case remains under investigation.
