Maud – 31-year-old Jessica Rachel Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Highway 67

Maud law enforcement officials are still searching for the driver who fled the scene after hitting a woman on Highway 67 near Highway 8, August 6th.
The fatality was identified as 31-year-old Jessica Rachell.
At around 3:21 a.m., DPS troopers responded to Highway 67 in response to a call reporting an auto vs pedestrian collision. According to the report, Rachel was seen crossing the said intersection when a motor vehicle struck her. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found Rachel lying on the ground, lifeless. She was declared deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that struck Rachel fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. At this time, the identification of the driver as well as the description of the vehicle involved remain unknown.
