Marlin – Jose Ramirez Died Following Highway 7 Collision

The man who died in a fatal three-car collision on State Highway 7 in Falls County has been named by local officials.
Marlin police identified the victim was as 60-year-old Jose Ramirez. He is a resident of Marlin.
According to initial reports, local troopers were called onto SH 7 just after 5:00 p.m. to assist in a car accident involving a Hyundai, Dodge, and Chevrolet. How the crash actually happened remains unclear at this time but police confirmed that the vehicles somehow collided as they approach Brazos River bridge. An occupant in one of the vehicles, Jose Ramirez, suffered from a fatal head injury and died at the scene. Meanwhile, another occupant was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Their identification was not released at this time.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
