Manor – Two Injured in Rear-End Crash on US 290

At least two people were sent to a hospital after getting involved in a car accident on US Highway 290.

The victims were identified as 42-year-old Brandi Battles and 22-year-old Felicia Ybarra.

Initial investigation indicates that a vehicle had been traveling along US 290 when it merged into a lane with another car, driven by Brandi Battles, hitting Battles in the process. The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene and stopped by a nearby shopping center. Police did not confirm if he was arrested.

The impact of the crash seriously injured both Battles and his passenger, Felicia Ybarra. They were both transported to the nearest hospital where they received further medical treatment. Their condition was not immediately disclosed.

An investigation is underway.
