Man struck and killed by vehicle after exiting SUV after crash

HOUSTON, TX – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle after exiting an SUV after a previous crash this morning, FOX 26 reports.
Authorities say the SUV was initially involved in an accident near 13600 North Freeway around 2:30 a.m.. The SUV was able to make it to the nearby exit ramp, and the driver got out of the car to cross the feeder.
The man was then struck by a blue vehicle that fled the scene of the crash. A pickup truck also crashed into a wall while trying to avoid the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
