Man severely injured after being struck by, trapped beneath Metro bus

HOUSTON, TX – A man was severely injured after being trapped beneath a Metro bus last night, according to KTRK.

The crash happened near the intersection of Morningside and Main Street at about 10:15 p.m., when a man reportedly walked into the pathway of an oncoming bus. He was struck by the bus, then trapped beneath it.

Emergency officials were forced to use airbags to lift the bus and rescue the victim.

The victim was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

No other injuries were immediately reported.
