Man killed while walking on US 59

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed in the main lanes of US 59 on Tuesday morning, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The man was walking in the freeway’s southbound lanes when a Cadillac swerved out of the way to avoid hitting him. The driver of a pickup then swerved to avoid hitting the Cadillac and hit the man.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. He was just 27-years-old. The drivers involved sustained minor injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
