Man killed in hit-and-run collision on FM 1960 W near NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A man died early Monday morning after a pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver near northwest Houston’s Villas at North Park area, reports the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal crash happened in the 3300 block of Farm to Market 1960 West at around 2:20 a.m.
According to the HCSO Vehicular Crimes Division, the man was walking on or trying to cross the roadway and failed to yield to the right of way of traffic. Shortly after, he was hit by an unknown vehicle going eastbound in the outside lane.
The driver then continued down the road, failing to stop and render aid to the victim.
Authorities said the victim was discovered at the scene without signs of life.
No further information has been released on the suspect driver or vehicle, but an investigation was underway.
