Man killed in high-speed collision with tree in NW Houston

CYPRESS, TX – A man was killed after he crashed his vehicle into a tree in Cypress this morning, according to the Laredo Morning Times.
The crash happened on Queenston Boulevard, near Barker Cypress Road, as the driver of a white Chevrolet Malibu was traveling at a high rate of speed.
He lost control of the vehicle, then collided with a tree. The steering wheel reportedly broke at the stem during the crash.
The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, died of injuries sustained during the accident.
No further injuries were reported in the crash.
