Man killed in alleged street racing accident outside Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed in an alleged street racing accident outside Houston this morning, per KHOU 11.
According to a witness, the victim was chasing another vehicle near 9700 West Montgomery when he lost control of his vehicle and hit the curb. The car then flipped over and landed in a funeral home parking lot.
The victim was thrown from his car and was declared dead at the scene. A woman in the vehicle was hospitalized but is expected to survive her injuries. Another vehicle involved in the street race reportedly fled the scene of the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
