Man killed after falling out of truck in Mission Bend

MISSION BEND, TEXAS – A man was tragically killed after falling out of his pickup truck in Mission Bend on Sunday night, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The article reports the man was sitting in the bed of a pickup truck when he fell out of the truck near the 9000 block of South Texas Highway 6 near Bissonnet Street at 9:45 p.m. He was then hit by a passing car.
The driver of the pickup pulled over on the side of the road and passengers in the truck fled. The driver of the car that killed the man also fled the scene.
An investigation to locate those involved is underway.
