Man killed after being hit by car while changing tire on the Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed after being hit by a car while changing a tire on the Katy Freeway on the morning of Saturday, April 10, per the Houston Police Department.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was changing a tire of his trailer near 12500 Katy Freeway. He was parked on the right shoulder of the freeway. He was hit by a dark-colored GMC with a license plate possibly ending in 788. The GMC did not stop at the scene.
