HOUSTON, TX – A man was injured when he was pinned in the wreckage of a head-on crash in the downtown area early this morning, according to a report by KPRC2.
The accident occurred in the 3400 block of Allen Pkwy, near Rochow St, at about 2:20 a.m. when a dark-colored pickup truck and a sedan collided, pinning the driver of the latter vehicle inside the wreckage.
The driver, who had reportedly been driving the wrong way on the roadway, was cut from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was not reported as injured.
Authorities believe that alcohol may have played a role in the collision, and the driver of the pickup truck was taken into police custody.
