Man in wheelchair fatally struck by car while trying to cross SH-6

HOUSTON, TX – A man using a wheelchair was killed after being struck by a car while attempting to cross SH-6 on Tuesday night, according to the Laredo Morning Times.
The accident occurred in the 2100 block of SH-6, also known as Addicks-Howell Road, near George Bush Park, at about 9 p.m.
A driver headed northbound struck and killed the victim, who has yet to be publicly identified.
The victim was taken to the hospital and was there pronounced dead.
The driver stopped after the accident and told authorities that he did not see the victim before the crash.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
