Man fatally injured in hit-and-run pedestrian crash near SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A 65-year-old man died last Wednesday after being being hit by a vehicle in the Meadowbrook/Allendale area of southeast Houston, reports Houston Police Department.

HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division said the incident occurred at 4700 Bliss Street on November 10 at approximately 7:10 p.m.

According to authorities, the man was traveling on foot across a crosswalk in the roadway when an unknown vehicle struck him and fled the scene.

Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The incident is under active investigation by Houston police.
