Man facing charges after alleged DUI crash that killed his wife

HOUSTON, TX – A man is facing charges following a suspected drunk-driving accident that led to the death of his wife in north Houston early this morning, according to KTRK.
The collision happened on Greens Road and I-45 North Freeway just after 12 a.m., when a man crashed into a pole.
His 60-year-old wife, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. She was later pronounced dead.
Authorities stated that the driver refused to cooperate with the investigation and appeared to have been under the influence. He is facing intoxication manslaughter charges in connection with the crash.
