Man dragged for a half mile on the East Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A man was dragged for a half-mile on the East Freeway in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday night, Click2Houston reports.
The man was riding with a group of other motorcyclists when he struck a vehicle near McCarty Street. After hitting the car, he fell off his bike, which caught on fire. He was then hit by a white Chevy pickup truck which dragged him along the freeway for a half-mile.
The driver of the white Chevy fled the scene, according to authorities. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
