Man dies in single-vehicle wreck on the Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A man died in a single-vehicle wreck on the Eastex Freeway on the morning of Wednesday, September 16, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Nicholas Halliburton was traveling near 11200 Eastex Freeway when he swerved across the freeway and struck a metal guard on the side of the road. A witness told police that he saw the victim’s car driving erratically and after he crashed, he found the witness not breathing in his vehicle.
The vehicle involved sustained minor damage. The incident remains under investigation.
