Man dies in fiery street-racing crash on Richmond Avenue

HOUSTON, TX – A man died in a fiery street-racing on Richmond Avenue this morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

The victim was reportedly driving a gray BMW 335L, racing a black Dodge Charger, near 7500 Richmond Avenue around 2:25 a.m. today. The driver of the BMW lost control of their vehicle, crashing into a tree in the road’s center median. The BMW then burst into flames.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

The drive of the Dodge Charger fled the scene of the crash. If you have information about the driver’s whereabouts, contact the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
