Man dies from injuries sustained in crash on I-69 in Porter

PORTER, TX – A man died from injuries sustained in a crash on I-69 in Porter on August 7, according to the team at the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
30-year-old William Benvanides was driving his box truck on the freeway near the FM 1314 intersection when he slammed into a wrecker driven by Michael Maust. Benvanides became trapped in the box truck and was rescued by emergency personnel. He was rushed to the hospital and died of his injuries a day later.
Maust was not seriously injured.
