HOUSTON, TEXAS – The Houston Police Department issued a press release on Wednesday that reported that the victim in a car wreck reported on April 18 succumbed to his injuries on May 2.
Authorities say 60-year-old Alvin Jefferson was driving his red Mustang when it suddenly became disabled in the main lanes of West Loop South. The driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado pulled over and attempted to help Jefferson with his car.
While Jefferson was underneath his vehicle, a grey Buick Regal struck his car from behind. Jefferson was injured and transported to the hospital while the driver of the Chevrolet was treated for injuries at the scene.
Jefferson reportedly died of his injures on May 2. No charges have been filed.
