Man dies after train collision involving 18-wheeler near Greens Bayou

HOUSTON, TX — A man died early Friday morning after a train backed into an 18-wheeler in the Greens Bayou area of east Houston, reports Click2Houston.
The accident took place in the 1700 block of Federal Road shortly after 4:00 a.m.
The man was working as a train conductor, helping to guide the driver as the train reversed from a private rail yard. The man was standing at the back of the train when it backed into an 18-wheeler that was crossing the tracks.
Deputies said the victim appeared to have been pinned against the truck. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
