Man dies after crashing into tree following possible shooting and stabbing

HOUSTON, TX – Authorities discovered a man dead after his vehicle collided with a tree following a possible shooting and stabbing in southeast Houston yesterday, according to information from KTRK.
The crash happened near Wimberly Canyon Court and Nellsfield Lane at around 2:25 a.m.
A driver of a white Chevrolet pickup truck crashed into a tree located about half a block away from his home. The crash occurred only a short time after witnesses claim they heard gunshots nearby.
Police discovered the man dead and having suffered bullet wound injuries and multiple lacerations.
His cause of death was not immediately established, and the investigation continues at this time.
