Man dies after crashing into culvert near Uvalde Road

HOUSTON, TX – A man died after crashing into a culvert near Uvalde Road on Saturday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim’s car was traveling near 6500 Uvalde Road around 11:25 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, the driver veered off the roadway. The car then crashed into a ditch and a nearby culvert.
The victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
