Man dies after being thrown from car in crash on State Highway 99

HOUSTON, TX – A man died after being thrown from a car in a crash on State Highway 99 Sunday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was driving a silver Nissan when he left the roadway and drove onto a grassy area on the side of the highway. The Nissan continued driving until it hit a concrete embankment and became airborne.
The unidentified male driver was thrown from the car and onto the grassy area below. He was declared deceased at the scene by first responders.
