Man dies after being hit by cars on N Sam Houston Pkwy in NE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A man died Tuesday morning after being hit by drivers while standing near his wrecked vehicle on North Sam Houston Parkway in northeast Houston, reports ABC13 Houston.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the incident took place on the eastbound feeder road near Wilson Road and Ralston Road at approximately 5:00 a.m.

An early investigation indicates the victim was driving east when his car collided with a guardrail and came to rest in the main lanes. Shortly after, his disabled car was struck by another vehicle. At some point, the victim exited his car
and was hit by a third vehicle.

First responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The fatal event left a portion of the eastbound feeder road closed for more than three hours as crews and investigators worked the area.
