Man dies after being hit by car while fleeing suspect with a knife

HOUSTON, TX – A man died after being hit by a car while fleeing a man wielding a knife on July 31st, according to the Houston Police Department.
The victim, an unidentified 55-year-old man, was being chased by a man with a knife near 10300 West Bellfort Avenue just before 8 p.m. He ran into the road and was then hit by an oncoming Ford Fusion.
The man was rushed to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
