Man declared dead by injuries sustained in April wreck on FM 1942

HOUSTON, TX – A man has been declared dead by injuries sustained in a wreck on FM 1942 on April 12, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Authorities say Dereck Alexander was driving near the 3000 block of FM 1942 when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Emilio Perez Cabrera. Both Alexander and Cabrera were taken to the hospital via LifeFlight.
Cabrera was declared dead at the hospital on Sunday, May 9.
