Man dead after falling down ladder and into cargo hold at Port of Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man has died from injuries he received after falling a great distance from a ladder this afternoon in the Port of Houston, according to KTRK.
The accident happened at about noon when a man fell over 100 feet and into the cargo hold of a ship.
He was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
