Man dead after car crashes into tree, burst into flames on Wilcrest Dr

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed when their vehicle collided with a tree on Wilcrest Drive early this morning, according to KHOU.

The collision happened in West Houston on southbound Wilcrest Drive, after a driver lost control of his vehicle and then crashed into a tree. The vehicle then burst into flames. A nearby home was also damaged in the fiery collision.

The lone occupant of the vehicle, identified only as a man, was dead when first responders arrived at the scene.

No other people were reported hurt in the crash.

Authorities believe that the driver was speeding before the accident happened.
