Man charged with felony murder following accident on Gears Road

HOUSTON, TX – A man has been charged with felony murder following an accident on Gears Road that took place on Friday, April 23, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Kenneth Odoms was driving near 3000 Gears Road when lost control of his vehicle and hit a curb. His vehicle began to slide, eventually hitting Myron Bush, a pedestrian crossing northbound. Odoms’ car continued to slide until it hit a utility pole.

Bush was rushed to a nearby hospital after the incident where he was declared deceased. Four other passengers, including three small children, were inside Odoms’ car at the time of the crash, but luckily none were injured.

Odoms was determined to be impaired at the time of the incident. He has since been charged with Felony Murder.
