Man charged with DWI in hit-and-run crash on Alief Clodine Road

HOUSTON, TX – A man has been charged with a DWI in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Alief Clodine Road on Saturday, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Alexander Villanueva was driving a Dodge Ram near 1400 Alief Clodine Road when his vehicle’s back tire was struck by the driver of a Lexus GS350. Villanueva then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree in the road’s center median.

The driver of the Lexus, who has not been identified, attempted to brake to avoid the collision but also crashed into the same tree. The driver was killed upon impact.

Villanueva fled the scene of the accident but returned to the crash scene an hour later. He was charged with a DWI and FSRA.
