Man and woman killed in fatal collision on Crestmont Street

HOUSTON, TX – A man and woman were killed in a fatal collision on Crestmont Street on the evening of Sunday, February 21, the Houston Police Department reports.

The driver of a red Ford Mustang, an unidentified 42-year-old man, was traveling near 6600 Crestmont Street when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a nearby tree. After the initial collision, the Mustang caught on fire.

Both the man and the woman, 46, in the vehicle were declared dead by emergency responders. The investigation into the crash remains open.
