Major wreck shuts down southbound lanes on the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A major wreck shut down the southbound lanes on the Gulf Freeway this morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
Clear Lake Division will have the southbound lanes of the Gulf Fwy at Bay Area Blvd shut down due to a major crash. #houtraffic CC9

The accident was reported at the freeway’s intersection with Bay Area Boulevard around 2:08 am. The department has not reported additional information about the wreck, including if anyone was hurt.
