Madison County – Teen Motorcyclist Died in Crash with Truck on SH 90

A 19-year-old motorcycle rider after getting involved in a collision with an 18-wheeler on State Highway 90, according to a local news source.
Based on a preliminary investigation, a motorcycle was traveling along SH 90 near the Grimes County line when it went out of control after attempting to pass an 18-wheeler truck. The rider tried to swerve back into his lane to avoid crashing into an oncoming vehicle but ended up getting pinned underneath the trailer of the truck. The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Brandon Salinas of Grand Prairie, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities said Salinas was not wearing a helmet during the time of the incident.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The Madison County law enforcement officials arrived at the scene to determine liability.
