Madison County – Motorcyclist Died in Collision with Truck on SH 90

A teen motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased after getting involved in a vehicle crash with a truck on State Highway 90 near the Grimes County line, Friday afternoon.
In an unspecified time in the afternoon, Texas Department of Public Safety officials received a notification reporting a motorcycle vs car accident on SH 90. According to the report, the motorcycle had been traveling along the highway when its rider lost control of the bike while attempting to pass an 18-wheeler truck. The motorcycle tried to swerve back into his lane but ended up crashing into the trailer towed by the truck. The motorcyclist was pinned underneath the trailer, killing him in the process. He was pronounced deceased by first responders.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities withheld the victim’s identification pending notification of his next of kin.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
