Lufkin – Woman Injured in Old Union Road Crash

Lufkin local officials are still looking into a crash on Old Union Road which resulted in injuries, last Friday.

Initial investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling along Old Union Rd when it suddenly drove off the roadway, and over a guard rail before coming to rest in the creek bed. The impact of the crash left the driver with minor back injuries. She was only identified as a woman. Emergency crews provided the victim with immediate treatment. It was not confirmed if she was taken to the hospital for further medical attention.

Police have yet to determine why the driver lost control of the car and left the roadway. Anyone who has information relevant to the case is encouraged to get in touch with Lufkin police officials.

The crash remains under investigation.
