Lubbock – Victims Who Died in Car Crash on County Rd 5400 Identified

Lubbock law enforcement officials have identified the fatalities of a major accident on County Road 5400 near Highway 62/82, Tuesday.
The fatalities were named as 24-year-old Joshua John Hinojosa and 39-year-old Eva Margarita Corona.
According to initial reports, Hinojosa was driving along Highway 62/82 in the opposite side of the road when he crashed head-on with Corona’s vehicle. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to catch fire. An 11-year-old occupant in one of the vehicles was trapped inside the wreckage. He was extricated and rushed to an area hospital with fatal injuries. His condition remains unknown at this time. Meanwhile, Hinojosa and Corona suffered from significant injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
