Lubbock – Valerie Carranco Among Injured in I-27 Crash

A woman was injured following a collision on Interstate 27 last week, February 16th.
At around 3:00 a.m., a vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Valerie Carranco was traveling along 4400 block of Interstate 27 in Lubbock when Carranco lost control of the wheel and struck a guardrail. A passing vehicle stopped to assist the victim but ended up getting struck by another car.
Both Carranco and the other driver sustained injuries as a result of the crash. They were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries. However, their condition was not immediately released.
No one else was injured.
The Lubbock Police Department arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. They have yet to determine liability.
