Lubbock – Two-Car Crash on University Avenue Leaves 2 Injured

At least two people were rushed to a hospital following a car collision on University Avenue, Tuesday night.

Just before 9:00 p.m., police responded to the 9700 block of University Ave after they received a call reporting a crash involving two cars. A sport utility vehicle was heading north when it struck a passenger vehicle in the middle lane. Police said the passenger vehicle was exiting a gas station when the incident happened.

One was taken to UMC Health with significant injuries while the other suffered from injuries that were considered to be minor. He was given treatment on scene.

No one else was injured.

The Lubbock Police Department was requested at the scene to determine liability. An investigation is underway.
