Lubbock – Several Injured on Vehicle Crash on US 62

The Lubbock Police Department is investigating a vehicle accident on US Highway 62 which injured at least five people, Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 4:00 p.m., local officials received a notification of a collision on US 62 near Farm to Market Road 1585. According to initial reports, a vehicle had been traveling along the highway when it crashed into a black Chevrolet Suburban. The reason that caused the two vehicles to crash is yet to be determined by responding officers. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and provide treatment to five occupants who sustained injuries that were considered minor. They did not specify if the victims were hospitalized but they confirmed that three of the injured victims are children. No identification was released at this time.
Area investigators were requested at the scene to determine liability.
