Lubbock – Police Unit vs Bus Crash on Broadway

A police officer was hospitalized following an auto crash on Broadway, Friday afternoon.
Just before 5:00 p.m., police were requested to assist in a car accident in the 500 block of Broadway. When they arrived at the scene, they found a bus and a marked police vehicle with external damages and a traffic light post that was lying on the street. The circumstances leading up to the accident remains unclear at this time. However, police confirmed that the police officer involved sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. He was given proper medical treatment by emergency crews.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
