Lubbock – Motorcyclist ID’d Following Crash on 34th Street

The Lubbock law enforcement officials have released the name of the victim who died in a motorcycle collision on 34th Street, early Saturday morning.
The fatality was identified as 36-year-old Johnny Vasquez. He was a resident of Lubbock, Texas.
According to initial reports, the incident was reported at approximately 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of 34th Street and Indiana Avenue. Vasquez was operating a 2019 Yamaha along the westbound lane of the roadway when he crashed into the rear side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was stopped at the red light. The impact of the crash killed Vasquez on scene. He has no passenger.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The LPD Major Crash Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the crash.
