Lubbock – Man Injured following Interstate 27 Collision

The Lubbock Police Department has yet to release the identity of the man injured following an auto crash on Interstate 27, Monday.
According to police reports, the accident happened at the 7300 block of I-27 in an unspecified time in the morning. An SUV was traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it left the roadway and landed on a drainage ditch. When the driver tried to get back up to the road, he then crashed into a Chevrolet pickup truck. The impact pushed into the median where it overturned.
The driver of the SUV was hospitalized due to the injuries sustained from the crash. He was only identified as a 22-year-old male.
No other injuries were reported.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash.
