Lubbock – Linda Rodriguez ID’d Victim of Two-Vehicle Crash on Milwaukee Avenue and 73rd Street

The female passenger who died in a fatal collision between two cars on Milwaukee Avenue near 73rd Street, Saturday afternoon, has been identified by law enforcement officials.
According to the release, the victim was identified as 59-year-old Linda Rodriguez. Police said that Rodriguez was a passenger in a Ford Focus that was attempting to make a turn towards a business driveway near the southbound lanes. For reasons that had not been determined yet, a Ford Mustang, heading north, struck the Focus, leaving Rodriguez seriously injured. She was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
Meanwhile, the Focus driver was rushed to a nearby hospital where received medical treatment. His injuries were considered to be serious. The Mustang driver also sustained injuries that were considered to be moderate. He received treatment at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
