Lubbock – David Byron Danks Killed in Fatal Rollover Crash Highway 84

The Lubbock Police Department has released the name of the man who died in a deadly vehicle accident on US Highway 84, Tuesday evening.
The fatality was identified as David Byron Danks, 66.
According to initial reports, a 2007 Chevrolet truck was seen traveling along the highway near Woodrow Road when it suddenly went out of control and drifted into the center median. The driver of the Chevrolet tried to overcorrect the vehicle but to no avail. It overturned a number of times and landed on the westbound lanes of Highway 84.
A passenger in the pickup truck, David Danks, was ejected as the car overturns. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Meanwhile, the driver sustained injuries and was rushed to Covenant Medical Center by private vehicle for possible injuries. She was later identified as Cindy Coe Danks, 62.
The investigation continues.
