Lubbock – Amber Canaday Killed in Head-on Collision on Milwaukee Avenue

A 24-year-old woman died following a fatal head-on collision on Milwaukee Avenue near 50th Avenue, Monday afternoon.
At around 3:30 p.m., a deadly car accident between two vehicles took place in front of Altitude Trampoline Park. According to initial reports, a gray Ford Focus heading south on Milwaukee was making a left turn on 50th when it collided with a Ford F-250 that was traveling along the northbound lanes. Police said that the F-250 suddenly drifted onto the center lane, crashing head-on with Focus.
The driver of the car, identified as 24-year-old Amber Canaday, died from the impact of the collision. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck did not sustain injuries.
Another occupant in the car was taken to an area hospital where he received medical treatment. His condition was not immediately released.
Detectives from LPD’s Major Crash Unit are investigating the crash.
