Lubbock – 3 Moderately Injured After Crash on West Loop 289

A traffic collision on the eastbound lanes of 34th Street sent three people to the hospital, according to a local news source.
The incident occurred at the intersection of West Loop 289 and 34th Street just after 8:00 a.m. When Lubbock local authorities arrived at the scene, they found a van and a pickup truck with both drivers still inside the wreckage. An initial investigation indicates that the van was traveling along the southbound lane of loop’s access road when it was struck by a pickup truck. Police said that the van failed to stop at a red light.
Three people, including the driver of the van and two occupants in the pickup, was extricated from their respective vehicles. They were all taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No citations have been issued at this time.
