Longview – Woman Died in Auto Crash on Mobberly Avenue

Longview law enforcement officials are still investigating a vehicle accident on Mobberly Avenue, Wednesday morning.

Just after 7:00 a.m., police were dispatched to 2100 block of Mobberly Ave to assist in a traffic crash. Police reports show that a black Pontiac sedan was heading north on the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it collided with a white Chrysler Town & Country. The driver of Pontiac was thrown off her vehicle upon the force of the impact. She was rushed to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center for treatment but she died upon arrival at the hospital. Her identification was withheld pending notification of her next of kin.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Chrysler was also hospitalized for undisclosed injuries.

No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
