Longview – 2 Killed in Multi-Car Crash on West Loop 281

At least eight people sustained various injuries after getting involved in a vehicle accident on West Loop 281, Tuesday afternoon.
Longview police officers responded to the intersection of West Birdsong Street and West Loop 281 after receiving a call reporting a crash. According to the report, the incident took place at around 4:30 p.m. which involved an unspecified number of cars. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found eight injured victims with one of them still trapped inside the wreckage.
Seven of the injured parties were rushed to an area hospital where they received medical treatment. As per authorities, four of them were seriously hurt.
Authorities did not disclose any identification at this time.
No citations have been issued as investigators are still determining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
